I was so excited to meet with Kristi and Paul for their maternity session. This will be their fourth child, but since grandma and grandpa were visiting, they took this rare opportunity to spend time just the two of them together to celebrate their newest addition. I can’t wait to share more from their dreamy desert Tucson Maternity Photos.

About the session

I met Kristi and Paul at the entrance to Sweetwater Trailhead for their session. It was a busy day with lots of mountain bikers as the weather has been gorgeous in Tucson lately. Kristi wore a lace dress by Baltic Born while Paul looked sharp in his blue button-down and khakis. We made our way up the trail to a favorite spot where the trail opens up to saguaros spotting the desert and gorgeous mountains framing the landscape. I was sure to capture some individual portraits of Kristi and her darling baby bump. Maternity sessions are some of my favorites! I love getting to capture this beautiful time in a mother’s life. Yes, there are so many challenges that come with pregnancy, but it is also so incredibly amazing and special. After we grabbed some portraits of Kristi, Paul joined us.

Once Paul joined us, we took some photos of them walking along a saguaro-lined path. The warm sun was beginning to set and I loved capturing the sun as it encircled Kristi and Paul giving them a nice, warm golden glow. We then changed locations to a spot where we could capture the wildflowers that are in full bloom. Kristi changed into a muted gray dress with delicate ruffle sleeves.  I loved the soft texture of the dress contrasting with the rocky desert landscape. We were able to capture some more portraits of her and Paul in this spot, which honestly were some of my favorites.
