I had the opportunity to photograph Serena and Jordan over a year ago. They had just started dating at the time and we did a fun couples session together. Well, when Jordan recently proposed in Disneyland ( I know, every girl’s dream ) I felt so honored when I was the first call Serena made when looking for their wedding photographer. I had the privilege of photographing her sister Bella’s wedding back in June, and was thrilled that I would get to be a part of another Junior family wedding. This family is just incredible! Not only is each and every member of this family gorgeous on the outside, but are even more so on the inside. They all have the most genuine, giving hearts!
Serena chose Gates Pass in Tucson, Arizona as the backdrop for her and Jordan’s engagement session. It is easily one of my favorite locations to shoot at. I know some may think that “desert is desert”, but I’m telling you there is a difference. Nestled between the mountains, the valley we shot it was dotted with saguaros for as long as you could see. Serena and Jordan looked like a dream against the stunning backdrop of Gates Pass.
Serena chose to wear a floor length steely blue chiffon dress from Lulus, which looked phenomenal on her. Jordan looked sharp in his maroon sweater and later in his gray blazer. The entire session was such fun. Smiles and laughter ( mostly at me doing yoga poses whilst dodging prickly pears – I only got pricked once though ) filled the desert. I enjoyed getting to know more about them. These two have a rock solid connection and their love for each other is obvious. I can’t wait for their early spring wedding!
