Outdoor Wedding in Gold Canyon

The wedding had so many curveballs. Fires raging in Arizona caused these two to swerve left, right, and then left again as they had to change locations for their wedding. But as most things go in life, in the end, all things come together. It was a perfect wedding day held outdoors in the midst of Gold Canyon. Irma and Stephen tied the knot with the stunning mountains as a backdrop. Guests were serenaded by a guitarist as they arrived and throughout the night. Irma and Stephen exchanged their vows in front of close family and friends before making their way to an intimate dinner arranged by Cloth and Flame.

Details of the Wedding Day

The bride was dressed in a flirty, strapless Vera Wang gown adorned with a gecko brooch pinned next to her heart. You see, Irma recently lost both her mother and father, and while they weren’t able to be with her earthside, their presence was felt throughout the night. I just loved the story behind the gecko, and have to share it with you all. As a young girl, Irma and her family lived overseas. Prior to his wife and children coming, Irma’s father prepared his little ones for their new home and the fact that they would be sharing it with lots of geckos. So that Irma and her siblings wouldn’t be afraid, he would call the geckos his “little friends” as a way to get the kids used to the idea that geckos were all over the place. The gecko Irma wore intentionally next to her heart was just one of the many ways Irma carried the love of her parents with her on their wedding day.

About the Couple

Irma and Stephen are a playful couple that enjoy a good adventure. They wanted their wedding to feel like a party. I can honestly say that is exactly what their day was. It was a day full of life-laughter, hugs, and a few happy tears. Both Irma and Stephen have the warmest souls. They are so blissfully in love with each other and I am just so happy that they found each other to journey through life with. Cheers to you two!
