What The Highlands At Dove Mountain Wedding Venue has to offer

The Highlands is nestled against the Tortolita Mountains. There are gorgeous mountain views in every direction, with views of the city lights in the evening. 

The Venue offers four locations to accommodate your wedding day. The lawn is the favorite location for the ceremony site because the Catalina, Tucson, and Tortolita mountains create a lovely backdrop for exchanging your vows. The Dove Moutain ballroom has a permanent dance floor, stage, and audio-visual system. Crystal chandeliers and softly draped fabric adorn the ceiling creating a romantic atmosphere. It can seat up to 250 guests for dinner or for your reception. The Patio on the Green seats up to 60 guests and adjoins the lawn and The Highlands Bar and Grille. This is a great area for smaller wedding parties looking to enjoy the outdoors. For even more intimate events, the Catalina Room can host a small reception of up to 40 guests. This area does have access to the lawn and patio area as well.

In addition, The Highlands offers several options for catering. Couples can choose from four wedding packages with varying food and beverage options, table and decor, and floral options. There is also bride and groom’s quarters available on site for couples to get ready.

The best time to have your Wedding

The best time to have your wedding at The Highlands at Dove Mountain is either in the Spring, the Fall, or Winter. Temperatures in Tucson tend to be milder during these seasons which is an important consideration when holding your ceremony outdoors. For warmer months, there are misters off the patio and heaters available in the cooler months. 

How To Get To Highlands At Dove Mountain

The Highlands at Dove Mountain is located in Northwest Tucson, between Oro Valley and Marana. The venue is located just off Dove Mountain Blvd surrounded by the Tucson, Catalina, and Tortolita mountains. The easiest way to get to the venue is by car. The closest place to stay for guests would be The Ritz Carlton at Dove Mountain, which is conveniently located a few miles away from the wedding venue.  

Best Places To Take Wedding Photos

There are several locations around the venue that are great for photos. A popular location is just at the entrance to the Highlands where the water feature is located. It is best to take photos at this location either early in the morning or at dusk when the sun won’t be right in your face casting harsh shadows.

Another great photo location is in the back of the venue on the lawn. There is some lovely desert landscaping that creates a beautiful backdrop for portraits. 

However, my favorite location for photos is a spot that is just up the golf course a bit. The staff at the Highlands will have golf carts available to you for photos, so you will just take one of those to this location. I love this location because the desert landscape is beautiful, especially with the mountain views.
