About The Session
I met Nicole and Scott for our sunrise summer Tucson engagement session at a trailhead in the Catalina Foothills. The weather was humid, but being early in the day it was a bit cooler out. The trail was quiet, as we set up for our first shot. These two commented how they were so excited to finally enjoy being with each other. Life has been chaotic for these two- between wedding planning, Nicole’s move to Tucson, starting a new job, and arranging school schedules for kids. It was so sweet to watch as they put all that stress behind them, even for just a moment, and soaked in their time to simply be with each other during our session.
When I first met Nicole and Scott I was drawn to their magnetic personalities! They are both so warm, genuine and always keep me laughing. They are so loving and easygoing, and made our engagement session so fun! The endearing looks they gave each other, the kisses they would sneak, and the laughter they shared were so inspiring! After we finished exploring the desert, we made our way to another location, Tohono Chul Park. I have always loved this spot! It is gorgeous and I have always admired the large, wooden doors when you enter the restaurant. This stunning couple drew lots of attention from visitors at the park. It wasn’t surprising that people would stop and smile as they passed by these two.
About The Couple
I love the story of how these two met. It truly was meant to be! Scott had moved back to Tucson from the South to be closer to family. Nicole had been living in Phoenix. Both of them were on the same dating app, but Nicole had her settings set to only people within a 5-mile radius. Tucson is 113 miles from Phoenix, give or take! So how did these two find each other? Well, last December, Scott was traveling through Phoenix to Flagstaff to join his nieces for some holiday activities. He happened to turn on his app as he was passing through Phoenix at the exact moment he was within 5 miles of Nicole! I still get goosebumps thinking about it! What’s more is she just changed her dating age criteria, which Scott wouldn’t have met if she hadn’t changed it. I mean, if that isn’t fate, I don’t know what is! They both shared, that once they met, they knew immediately that they would marry one another.
