It is that time of year again- fall family sessions! I love this season! Even though it is still warm in Tucson, it means we are quickly approaching the holidays and cooler weather. 🙂 I was so eager to meet the Cheney family at Christopher Columbus Park for their fall family session! I know Mekahla and her family from church, and have been wanting to get them in front of my camera for so long. I mean, they are such a beautiful family! The day of our session arrived with stormy clouds and intermittent rain storms. As the evening approached we realized the rainy weather meant we needed to postpone the session. However as soon as we did, mother nature decided to let the sunshine come back, and we hurried to make things work. 🙂
When I greeted this family at the park they looked like a dream! I have always been drawn to soft, neutrals- a love I inherited from my grandmother 🙂 Mekahla commented, “I wasn’t sure if we should have been more casual?” and I immediately reassured her they all looked AMAZING!! I don’t think you can ever go wrong dressing up for a session! In fact I encourage it 🙂
I absolutely love our session location. It is a little oasis in the middle of the desert of Tucson. As we made our way towards the water, the light was softly glowing through the trees. It really was the most beautiful scene! Having two toddler boys I was blown away by how easily we moved through family poses, girls just love to have their pictures taken for the most part I’ve decided. As we started taking individual portraits of each of the girls, I couldn’t help but comment how beyond adorable they all are! These sisters have the most striking eyes and sweet, angelic faces! I grew up in a family of three sisters, and I loved capturing these three- it made me think of myself and my sisters. We then played ring around the rosy, danced with daddy, and were sure to give Mom some snuggles. Thank you Cheney family for the opportunity to capture your family pictures this fall! I absolutely loved it!
Hugs,
Melissa
