I was able to photograph one of my favorite families earlier this week! As much as I love weddings, I love being a family photographer here in Tucson as well! David and Michelle are good family friends, and I have been privileged to watch this cute couple’s love story unfold. We began their family pictures in the Tucson desert on an overcast day, then made our way to the cotton fields for some epic sunset portraits.
Nicole and Scott’s wedding at the Tucson Arizona Temple and Gallery at Dove Mountain was beautiful! They are both the kind of people who instantly make you smile. They are so warm and genuine, that within minutes you feel like family. I have truly come to love this couple! Their easy-going and upbeat personalities made spending time with them such a joy! So it came as no surprise, that when the weather called for rain on their wedding day, these two didn’t allow any amount of rain to dampen the joy and excitement of their big day!
I had another wonderful family session this past weekend with the Steck family. I have known this family for many years, and was so excited when they asked me to take their family photos this fall. My younger sister even babysat these teens back in the day (okay, now I’m feeling old) Even though the temperatures are still hot here in Tucson, this family was happy to follow me around the park and brave the heat. These siblings love to joke around and are tons of fun! I love how much this sweet family cares for each other!
I love family sessions! I love seeing all the different personalities that can come from in one family. I love the laughter, chasing, hugs, and snuggles! Scheduling a family session at least once a year is so important. Kids grow so fast, and you will never regret having the way your family is now captured in photos.
Mount Lemmon in Tucson Arizona is one of the most beautiful locations for photography. When Pricilla contacted me and said she wanted to schedule her maternity session on Mount Lemmon I was thrilled. Cotton candy skies and breath-taking vistas when paired with this gorgeous momma to be made for one of the most epic maternity sessions I have had the opportunity to capture with my camera.
It truly was meant to be! Scott had moved back to Tucson from the South to be closer to family. Nicole had been living in Phoenix. Both of them were on the same dating app, but Nicole had her settings set to only people within a 5 mile radius. Tucson is 113 miles from Phoenix, give or take! So how did these two find each other?
As a former labor and delivery nurse, my heart jumps for joy every time I get to photograph a maternity session! The Alexander family will soon be welcoming a sweet baby girl to their crew and we had the best time celebrating her upcoming arrival. We explored Catalina State Park in Tucson, Arizona for their maternity session. We spent time running in circles, blowing bubbles, laughing, and capturing joyful moments.
Adrianna showed me around their gorgeous home in Tucson, Arizona and introduced me to their sweet baby girl soundly sleeping on her grandfather’s chest. It had been three weeks since this little one had been born. I was privileged to have photographed her birth, so I was anxious to see how she had changed since I last saw her. She was just as perfect as I remembered!
