Celi and Steve’s Tucson Wedding
I have been looking forward to Celi and Steve’s Tucson wedding for a while. When Celi first reached out to me, I instantly knew I wanted to be their wedding photographer! She was so excited to share her wedding plans, and tell me about how she and Steve met and was the most upbeat and sweetest human! Celi and Steve visited various wedding venues around Tucson, but ultimately decided to have their wedding in their future backyard. The entire wedding day was filled with beautiful moments. Both Celi and Steve were beaming with happiness and it was such an honor to capture their wedding day!
Getting Ready
Celi and her bridesmaids chose to get ready at Steve and Celi’s future home. Both Celi and Steve loved the significance of hosting the wedding at their home. It added a deeper layer of meaning as they started their lives together. The girls started the day off with hair and makeup by Haus of Dreams. As they finished getting ready, I was able to capture some of the beautiful bridal details.
Celi chose a gorgeous color palette of black with burnt oranges and creams. The vision for their wedding was romantic and chic, meets rustic and country. As I photographed the bridal details, everything fit that vision perfectly, even down to Celi’s rhinestone-studded boots!
While Celi and the girls were at the house, Steve and the guys were at Casino Del Sol relaxing and getting ready. I was able to grab a few portraits of him with the guys before heading downstairs to meet Celi for the first look.
First Look
When I arrived in the morning, some unseasonable rain clouds had rolled in. Luckily the rain let up just in time for the first look. Celi was excited and nervous as she walked towards Steve. She looked stunning in her J.Bridal gown. When Steve turned around the look on his face was priceless. He quickly embraced Celi and told her how beautiful she looked.
Wedding Party Photos at Casino Del Sol
Before heading back to their home for the ceremony, we took some time to capture wedding party photos at Casino Del Sol. Celi’s bridesmaids looked stunning in their floor-length black dresses. The orange and cream florals by Element of Design popped against the dark color and gave a beautiful contrast. Steve’s groomsmen rocked their cowboy hats and boots, adding that perfect nod to Tucson and the Southwest.
Ceremony
I knew when I first met Celi and Steve during their engagement session that they were my kind of people. They were playful, kind, and the way they looked at each other was straight out of a Nicholas Sparks novel. So when it came time for the ceremony, I began tearing up as I listened to their heartfelt vows and watched the two of them beaming with joy.
Couples Portraits
Celi and Steve’s neighbor graciously welcomed us to take photos around her property. The untouched desert was stunning as the sun began to set.
Celi and Steve were in their own little love bubble as I captured all the joyful moments. As your wedding photographer, I am always here to offer gentle direction and guidance with posing, however, my favorite moments are ones that happen when you are just being yourselves. When you are comfortable with me and each other and I am able to just capture you both just as you are.
Celi’s favorite part of her dress was the sleeves. They were so delicate and added that extra layer of romance. My favorite part was that they were removable too, how cool is that!
An Outdoor Dinner and Reception
Celi and Steve had so many incredible family members and friends come to celebrate them. There were close to 400 guests! They were all seated at tables outside underneath the beautiful Tucson skies. Earlier rain clouds created a moody cloudy sky that night.
Instead of a sparkler exit, Celi and Steve opted for a sparkler entrance! It was a great way to bring in the energy and get the party started off right!
Cafe Loy was there serving coffee to guests in their darling cart. Pizza and BBQ were available for guests to enjoy as well.
I love watching couples share their first dance. It is such a beautiful moment together. I loved how the storm clouds from earlier created a lot of visual interest in their first dance photos.
It is truly an honor that Celi and Steve trusted me to be their wedding photographer. Their day was an absolute dream and I am so excited to see all the incredible things that this couple will accomplish together! Congratulations Celi and Steve!
